About The Artist
Robin Hill (1932) born in Brisbane, Australia is an artist and writer who focuses on natural history subjects, particularly birds. When he was just one year old, his family moved to England, where he eventually enrolled at the Wimbledon School of Art at the age of 11. When he was 16, he returned to Australia and studied at the National Gallery of Victoria Art School. In the early to mid 1960s he worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as the host while simultaneously painting and exhibiting his art. Hill moved to United States in 1971, where he established studios in Virginia and Washington D.C. He has had multiple exhibitions, including a solo show at Corcoran Gallery of Art and a co-sponsored exhibition by the World Wildlife Fund and the Australian Embassy.
