About The Artist
Ruth Grotenrath (1912–1988) was an influential American painter known for her vibrant and colorful works that often depicted still lifes, florals, and abstract compositions. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Grotenrath studied at the Milwaukee State Teachers College and the Art Institute of Chicago.
