REWA, born in Nigeria and raised in England, transitioned from a career in finance and consulting to become a self-taught artist, driven by her early creative influences and background in physiology and pharmacology. Her artistic journey began as a form of personal catharsis, leading to her acclaimed debut series, The Pantheon, which celebrated Nigerian deities and established her presence in the art world. REWA’s work, marked by vibrant depictions of the female form and cultural themes, has been showcased in notable venues like ReLe Gallery in Lagos, the Gallery of African Art in London, and MoCADA in Brooklyn. Her art is a personal expression of her experiences and a celebration of women and cultural traditions, embodying her unique voice and artistic vision.
