Artist Statement JB Nearsy (born 1982, Illinois, USA) "My art relates to maintaining peace and equality. Shapes and mark-making intrigue me and they are everyday exercises in creativity. I find joy in creating art of all types, relating my experience. Symbolism and geometry are tools and I note the things I find interesting, further expressing them through my lens.
