Jacqueline Humphries

Jacqueline Humphries is an American painter celebrated for her innovative approach to abstraction, known for pushing the boundaries of traditional painting with techniques that engage light, texture, and digital aesthetics. Born in New Orleans in 1960, Humphries studied at Parsons School of Design and earned her BFA from the Virginia Commonwealth University. Over her career, she has developed a distinctive style marked by large-scale canvases that explore both the materiality of paint and the influence of digital and screen-based imagery.
