Gretchen Dow Simpson

Gretchen Dow Simpson was born in 1939 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is a native New Englander painter. She is the author of over sixty magazine covers for The New Yorker Magazine.Simpson studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island, class of 1961.
