About The Artist
Fred Wessel, born in 1946 in New York, now resides in Northampton, Massachusetts, and serves as a professor at the Hartford Art School. There, he imparts his expertise in drawing, egg tempera painting, and lithography. Additionally, he co-directs Workshops in Italy, guiding groups of artists and enthusiasts through Tuscany and Umbria to explore and create art in the spirit of the Italian Renaissance. Wessel's works are featured in numerous prestigious collections, including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Brooklyn Museum, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Library of Congress, The Wichita Museum of Art, Smith College Museum, and The University of Tianjin Fine Arts College in the People’s Republic of China.
