About The Artist
Julia Taylor grew up in a small Indiana farming community, where she began drawing early, creating portraits and illustrations for local events and papers. Despite setting her art aside after graduating with an arts minor during an economic downturn, a chance watercolor class reignited her passion and led to a career in watercolor art. Over the past seven years, Taylor has exhibited and helped organize the Occasional Artist Show to support the North Point Lighthouse Museum and has had work featured in notable exhibitions such as the Villa Terrace Museum’s “In the Park with Olmsted” and the Wisconsin Watercolor 2021-22 exhibit. Her artwork is currently showcased at the David Barnett Gallery in Milwaukee, and she is a member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society and an Associate Member of the American Watercolor Society.
