About The Artist
Nii Kpetenkple Samuel is a naturally gifted artist, often described as someone who seems to have been born with brushes and palette knives in hand. Raised in the coastal suburb of Nungua, just 10 miles from Accra, Ghana, his passion for painting emerged early in life. His formal training began at a secondary school in Accra and continued at the Ultimate School of Art in Ghana, where he honed his skills.
Nii’s art is deeply influenced by his childhood experiences in Nungua, where he was surrounded by the vibrant life of fishermen, fishmongers, market women, and local structures. These early impressions, combined with his fascination with meaningful Ghanaian symbols and abstract figures, have made him an expert in capturing the essence of his environment.
