About The Artist
Félix Buhot (1847-1898) was a French painter and illustrator. He is credited with reviving 17th-century etching techniques in late 19th-century art. He depicted city views and seascapes, and often displayed the effects of weather such as rain, snow and fog. He got inspiration from Montmartre in Paris, His works were also published in periodicals and books, and he became popular in the United States.
