Pierre Alechinsky (born October 19, 1927) is a Belgian painter and printmaker associated with the CoBrA movement and the Art Informel style. Born in Brussels, Alechinsky emerged as a key figure in the post-war European avant-garde. Co-founder of the CoBrA group in 1948, he collaborated with artists like Karel Appel and Asger Jorn, producing spontaneous, expressive works influenced by Surrealism and children's art.
